A renovated private house built in the Taisho era, this is a rental space for lodging and hourly rentals.

The second floor balcony overlooks the ancient temple " Mizuma-dera Temple".

The murmuring of the river and the sound of bells soothe you.

Mizuma

Mizuma, Kaizuka City, Osaka Prefecture. A private house that has been here since the Taisho era and was inhabited until recently has been renovated.

“Mizuma no Yado” is located near the Kogi River, which originates in the Izumi-Katsuragi Mountains, and the sound of rushing water can be heard constantly.

Mizuma-dera Temple, an ancient temple visible from the roof balcony, was once founded by Gyoki Bodhisattva, who received an imperial order from Emperor Shomu.

The “Mizuma-Yakuyoke Kaido” (road for preventing evil spirits), which the inn faces, is paraded by Danjiri during the festival season.

“Mizuma no yado” is a two-story building.

There is a 10-mat Japanese-style room separated by fusuma sliding doors, a western-style parlor room, and a balcony overlooking the Mizumadera Temple.

The inn can accommodate up to 8 people.

Two induction cooktops and one radiant heater. A full kitchen with all the common features in Japan.

Basic seasonings and cooking utensils are also provided so that you can enjoy cooking as if you were living in the house.

From the second floor of the Mizuma no Yado, you can look down on the Mizuma-Yakuyoke Kaido.

Usually the street is quiet with little traffic, but during *the festival season, there is a parade of local danjiri (floats).

*It is held on the two Saturdays and Sundays immediately preceding the Japanese national holiday “Sports Day” in October every year.

Please refrain from the noise of midnight and early morning as it may be a nuisance to your neighbors.
